How do I know my hard disk has failed ?
Some signs of hdd failure:
What do I do when I suffer data loss?
One reason to stop using the device is that the newer data may overwrite the older ones. The other reason is that physical damage may have occurred in your media, and thus using it further may incur even more damage and lower the chances of you getting back your data! Instead, give us a call and we'll help you through your situation. If your data is important, send your data to a data recovery specialist. Remember, in many cases, you only have one shot at data recovery. Improper first recovery attempt may damage your media further, lowering your chances of successful recovery.
Why should I choose ADRC's data recovery service over other data recovery companies?
We are a professional data recovery company and data recovery is our one and only business.
How long is the process of data recovery by ADRC?
What is a class 100 lab? Why do we need a class 100 lab to do data recovery?
(A normal person staying still just standing or sitting emits about 100,000 particles) If the hard disk needs to be opened up, one has to do it within a clean room. The gap between the Read-Write head and the data platter is just a few microns. Any dust particles that get into the gap will induce "crashing" of the Read-Write head onto the data platter (where your magnetic data bits are stored) resulting in total and permanent loss of data. The data I need recovered is highly confidential. What assurances do I have that the data inside is not divulged to any other persons?
ADRC implements a series of meticulous and secured in-house processes. The building we are situated in is secured with 24-hour security personnel and video CAM. We have also implemented additional round-the-clock in-house video CAM and on-line intrusion system. All customers' media is handled and logged at every stage of the process. Also , recovered data is always protected with tamper-proof seal and locked securely from all possible prying eyes.
Do I get charged if recovery is not successful or that I'm not satisfied with the data recovered?
I have a laptop/hard disk that is under warranty. Does recovery mean that my warranty is voided? If your hard disk inside your laptop or is not physically damaged, ADRC has the capability to read and extract the data directly from the laptop without touching a single screw. As the laptop is "untouched", your warranty remains intact. In most of the cases, opening the laptop to access your hard disk will not void the warranty as this is a non-intrusive process. If the hard disk have to be opened up in our class 100 clean lab for recovery, at the end of the job, we will paste our lab seal to verify that ADRC has performed the required job on the hard disk. ADRC is recognized by most, if not all of the disk supplier to be the professional data recovery company so there is no issue of disk warranty. In case of doubt, you may want to contact us to clarify.
